Modern horror is here.
Despite our protests and tears.
If Roe v. Wade goes away
Our democracy is betrayed.
I remember when freedom was mine.
Before gerrymander lines.
My ignorance was my white privilege
As the wool was over my eyes.
Now more than ever,
we need to resist.
Against oppression,
We need to raise our fist.
If voting changed anything
it would be illegal
Watch laws being passed
that are stealing the rights of the people.
Now more than ever
We need to raise our fist.
Against suppression,
voters need to resist.
Don't police the hotties
No laws against bodies
Stop the danger of the hanger
Do you see our anger?
Modern horror is here.
Despite our protests and tears.
If Roe v. Wade goes away
The high court betrays the USA.
The attack on our rights is connected.
We need to have accountability for those elected.
We are all affected.
We can still change how history is directed.
about
This track was released in 2021 directly after the polls closed for the election to recall Gavin Newsom in California. Several credible news sites like the New York Times reported that the GOP setup a website to report voter fraud for the election a DAY before the election even took place. Research has shown that there is no such thing as widespread voter fraud and when voter fraud has been found, it's committed by the GOP. Don't just take my word for it, please do the research yourself. I recommend reading Our Time is Now by Stacey Abrams.
We are living in a time that our right to vote is being stripped away by Republicans lawmakers around the nation by passing laws to undo the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Their strategy is to suppress voters as Republicans can't win if people vote. There are attempts to stop this assault on our voting rights like the Freedom to Vote Act 2021 which will be heard on the senate floor soon. Please call your senators and request they protect our right to vote.
If that wasn't enough, human rights are also being attacked. Texas courts have moved to overturn Roe v. Wade with the silent approval of the Supreme Court. We need to have those who are put in power to be accountable to the people they serve.
